A Classroom of flags represent a rich culture

Jaimie Snowdon, Native American History and Arts instructor at Warroad School, has filled the walls of his classroom with flags from around the world.

"This year I'm teaching two classes of 8th grade Geography, as well as Native American Studies," explained Mr. Snowdon. "The first flags I put up were Native flags, the A.I.M. (American Indian Movement) flag, the Metris, Iroquois, Mohawk flags and an American flag with the Native in the center.

"But since I was also teaching geography this year, I began asking students where their families originated from, then I would hang flag...
