Roseau- Marian was born in Roseau to John and Ludikka Sjodin. She attended school in Roseau and later worked as a waitress at the Encore Café. There she met and fell in love with Lloyd Roseen. They were married on June 16, 1946. They moved to Portland, Oregon where she worked at Jantzen Knitting Mill. In Portland (Steven) their son was born. Marian and Lloyd moved back to Roseau. At that time their daughter (Rachel) was born. Then Marian and Lloyd moved to South Dakota where their daughter (Marie) was born in Miller.
