    It was a beautiful Saturday evening to start the 2018 WISSOTA Polydome dirt track series at the Greenbush Race Park, as 68 cars signed in each hoping to take home their first checkered flag of the season.     With the first of May here it can only mean that racing at the Greenbush Race Park can't be too far off. But first, at the 2017 WISSOTA awards banquet, the Race Park was given the "Award of Excellence" by the sanctioning body. It's quite an honor for a smaller track like the Race Park to win track of the year and says a lot about the quality of show we put, on on a weekly basis.     Night one of the Labor Day weekend racing doubleheader at the Greenbush Race Park had 107 cars sign in at the pit gate. Jordan Duray of Halma, would sit on the pole and lead the 20 field to the green. Duray would quickly capitalize on his starting spot and jump out to the early lead.     The 2017 Wissota PolyDome Dirt Track Series wrapped up on Sunday Sept. 3 at the Greenbush Race Park, as points titles were handed out in six classes, and 102 cars had signed in for the final night of racing. The Modified feature sent 20 cars to take the green. Jordan Duray of Halma, led the first six laps before Dustin Wahl of Greenbush, passed him out of corner four for the lead. The night was dubbed as the "Battle for the Bandit". Rick Johnson was known as the Border Bandit, and was the Race Park's first Streets points champion, who passed away in May of this year.     It was a cool, almost chilly night for racers and fans at the Greenbush Race Park, but 75 cars still signed in at the pit gate.     Another beautiful night of racing for the WISSOTA Polydome dirt track series on the fastest 1/4 dirt track in Northwestern Minnesota, as it was the 18th running of the Elliot Baker Memorial for the Modifieds with the winner cashing a $2,000 paycheck.
