Roseau - Robert (Bob) Emil Herling passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on May 17, 2016, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Bob was born on March 27, 1943, in Roseau to Leonard and Dorothy (Hendershot) Herling. He was the second of five sons. He grew up in Falun Township, going to the schools of West Falun, Malung and Roseau High. Upon adulthood, he worked with a custom combining crew, working in several southern states.
