Local deputy sheriff will have his day in court

 


Roseau County Deputy Sheriff Josh Olson, now on administrative leave, has been charged with at least one felony for shooting up a local property owner's cabin northwest of Salol.

Also, he is charged with destroying his service-issued, M-16 fully automatic rifle, and he will appear in District Court in Thief River Falls on Thursday, June 9.

On Wednesday, Roseau County Sheriff Steve Gust noted that the original incident, a confrontation between Mr. Olson, 34, and a cabin owner, had occurred last deer season when the cabin owner confronted Olson and his hunting party for trespassing on his pro...
