Credit six caring ladies from the Roseau VFW Auxiliary for going the extra mile as they made blankets for 23 Roseau County veterans residing in area nursing homes.

"We try to think of projects that we can do for our veterans, especially the ones who are in nursing homes and might be overlooked," said Connie Nelson.

She explained that they came up with the idea of making lap blankets that can also be used when napping.
