Layton Oslund was born September 3, 1934 to Jens and Nannie (Erickson) Oslund in Wannaska. He was baptized and confirmed at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska. Layton married Marie Benson September 10, 1955 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

He was a lifelong Roseau County Resident. He farmed in the Wannaska area with small grains, dairy, sheep, and for many years, beef cattle. Through the early years he drove school bus and worked at the Roseau Creamery. He was honored as Roseau County King Agassiz Candidate i...
