The last couple of weeks were hard for me. I am not going to lie, but I have never really told my full story to anyone. It isn't that I am afraid of my past, but more about being afraid that all people will think is that I am looking for sympathy. I am NOT looking for sympathy; I am way too old to play that game. Although it has been hard, I can also say this process has been therapeutic. There is a Christian rock band named Disciple, they have a song with a line in it that says: “I am learning to lay my burdens down.” I think that is what I have been doing during this journey.
