Thief River Falls - Etta Marie Mooney of Thief River Falls passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on August 15, 2016 at the LifeCare Greenbush Manor.

Etta was born in Nereson Township of Roseau County on April 12, 1927 to Elizabeth (Brotherston) and Jonas Didrikson. She grew up in Badger and graduated from Badger High School in 1945. She graduated from Bemidji State College with a degree in Elementary Education. That started a life-long passion for teaching and learning others.
