There were no reported cases of poison ivy following a week ago Wednesday's sophomore field trip to the Roseau school forest.
It might be a first!
And nobody got soaked, froze, or stung by wasps.
Leif Eidsmoe, who teaches advanced biology, declared it a Grade A day.
"Other than a few bugs, it was a beautiful day out there," he said afterwards, adding that Keith Sandland again brought his sawmill.
"The presentation by the DNR was great. This year, we had a whole new group of foresters, and they did an awesome job," he said, adding the kids were really impressed.
