Roseau - Lorraine Beatrice Backlund passed away on October 11, 2016 at Roseau Manor.

Lorraine was one of twelve children and was born September 22, 1920 to Edwin and Beret (Bredeson) Lanes in Wannaska, where she grew up and attended school.

Lorraine married Marvin Backlund in Roseau on July 31, 1940. Lorraine was very active in the First Lutheran Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years and organist for over 40 years.
