Renee Nygren, a 2009 Roseau High School graduate who was recently promoted to the position of assistant news director at Valley News Live in Fargo, climbed out of bed every morning at 5 a.m. for three of her high school years to attend Zero Hour classes at 6 a.m. on television broadcast journalism in Bolten, Missouri.

Now, that's dedication!

Then, she moved to Roseau for her senior year at RHS, which didn't broadcast an afternoon TV program like her former high school did and where she broke into the news business as a teenage anchor.
