Chandler Mooney places 4th at State

In his first ever trip to the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center, Chandler Mooney possibly smiled a couple of times.

The Ram sophomore plays it close to the vest and should have been grinning ear to ear when he proved that he was the fourth best in the 16-man, 145 pound Class A weight bracket.

He had a fantastic tournament, winning four of his six matches during the competition on Friday and Saturday.

The Section 8A champ stepped out on Mat 2 to face Nashwauk-Keewatin sophomore Bryce Smith just before 10 on Friday morning.
