At 9:04 a.m. a week ago Friday, I called Billy Lund, who immediately said, "Can I call you right back. I gotta give some young lady a big hug here quick."

"Oh, yes, that's more important than talking to me," I replied.

"I'll call you right back," he said.

It must have been a terrific hug because I went into the kitchen and started washing the dishes by hand, of course, since there is no dishwasher.

I'm it.

You wash the dishes and you think about things.

You sure as hell aren't thinking about the pots and pans or the silverware.
