Elizabeth Erickson, with her impish smile, stood near the office door at North Star Apartments in Roseau recently and asked if there was anything she could do to help.

She's old school, where they were taught to lend a hand.

How many folks in their late eighties would start vacuuming inside an elevator just to help out.

It sure did for Elizabeth once the elevator door began to close on the electric cord that was plugged into an outlet just outside the elevator.
