Remember the Ides of March?

Of course, you don't!

Most of us don't know that it's the 15th of March.

It never meant much to me either until I had to read Julius Caesar, one of the classics that Mrs. Barb Hokanson wanted her Roseau High School sophomores to read.

I taught special ed in Roseau back then, and I suggested to this accomplished educator that some of these kids would be better off reading comic books, Sports Illustrated, and the want ads.

Or even the labels on soup cans and peanut butter jars.

But never Shakespeare!

It's a tough read.

It's been a while since I read Julius Caesar, but...
