What a nice change!

Inside the old Ben Franklin building in downtown Roseau, which has been vacant for seven years and just gathering dust, Lyle and Garrett Larson, father and son, were busy fixing up the old building.

They've been tearing out old stud walls in preparation for this summer's opening.

Last week, Garrett Larson took a break from moving materials to explain that they had bought the building on Friday, March 31.

"We're starting on it," he said about the facelift that includes removing numerous two by fours and other building materials and stashing them in the alley.
