Badger - Zona Audrey Karrel Paine of Badger, passed away on April 21, 2017 at the Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls, at the age of 77.

Zona was born on June 4, 1939 in Middle River, to Evelyn (Paetznick) and Herman Severts. She attended a country school near Thief Lake and later graduated from Middle River High School in 1957. She was married to Thomas Darst in 1957-1975 and she worked at a hospital in Minneapolis, in the nursery unit. In 1978, she moved to the Randeen Ridge area, and later to Badger.
