In a criminal indictment that dates back to grand jury proceedings on April 21-22, 2014, Roseau County Commissioner Roger Falk, District 3, was tried on April 24-25, 2017, and found not guilty on Count 1 - Misconduct of a Public Officer or Employee.

Roseau County incurred the legal costs of $17,708.84 since Becker County Attorney Brian W. McDonald served as the Special Prosecutor.
