Summer Reading Pays off at the Library

On Thursday, July 13, some lucky kid will win a $100 Kindle Fire at the Roseau Public Library, which will be wrapping up its five-week summer reading program with a noon picnic at the Roseau City Center. The highlight will be the grand prize drawing.

"So far, we've had over 160 participants who have become summer readers," said Kate Hammer, the head librarian, whose motto is "This is the place where things happen!"

She should add good to the above slogan since, to date, four lucky youngsters have won $10 gift certificates.
