RHS Class of '57 starts a legacy challenge

 

Curt Jackson, Diane (Ross) Korb, Kate Hammer, and LaVonne and Neal Johnson

They are now in their late seventies - 77 and 78 to be exact - and the Roseau High School Class of 1957 wanted to give back to the community.

That's the word from LaVonne (née Rognlie) Johnson, who married her classmate, Neal. They spend the winters in Green Valley, Arizona, with several other of their classmates.

Maybe it the sand beneath their feet instead of snow that prompted the nostalgia.

Curt Jackson said, "Roseau is really a great place, and we were fortunate to grow up there."

They were all thinking the same thing. He just said it first.

"I think it would be good to pay something back...
