“Money does not grow on trees.”

“Don’t make me pull this car over!”

“Because I said so!”

“Are you going to the movies? Then why are you picking your seat?”

It happened. You just spewed forth your own parents’ voices. You swore it would never happen. You were never going to say such ridiculous things to YOUR child.

I mean, my mother surely never read a parenting book or took a parenting class. If she had she would have known that raising her voice at her children was single-handedly destroying any chance that they would become self-confident, successful, contributing members of society as an ad...
