On a recent August work day, Ivan Hirst - a Newfolden native, farm boy, athlete, and the son of a long haul trucker and a registered nurse, looked perfectly at ease in his office as the new Roseau High School Assistant Principal and Activities Director.
He's a man who stands out in a crowd and on the basketball court at six-five.
Play against Roseau?
"You betcha," he said, smiling at the memory of playing in the early 1990s against the Pankratz brothers, Mike Hulst, and Jeff Taylor.
