Roseau Tennis Sees Tough Competition Early

The Roseau Girls' Tennis team hit the ground running at the beginning of the season. The first matches of the season were at the 4th annual North/South Challenge Quad in Park Rapids on Friday, August 18th. In a rain-shortened event, the Rams faced Class AA Mound-Westonka and Minnewaska, last year's Section 6A champion. In the opening match against Mound, Roseau struggled to make shots but battled very hard against a well-prepared team. Lauren Johnson and Kate Wensloff each picked up a singles win in straight sets and all five of the other positions had their matches decided by tiebreakers....
