Anna (née Grafstrom) Wittrock, a 1998 Roseau High School graduate who joined the Army in September 2000 and rose through the officer ranks while serving two overseas deployments, was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel Anna Wittrock on her parents' family farm in rural Roseau on Saturday, September 2.

"Traditionally, you do the swearing-in ceremony at your unit," she said. "But I talked to my senior leaders and asked if there were any issues of doing the promotion ceremony out at the farm, and there were no issues."
