BFF Material, or Trouble Making Duo?

So, for the first years of our child’s life, we pretty much control their “friend list”. Who they associate with and when. Usually this list involves our friends’ children. If we love the parent, surely my kid will love theirs, right? Then the school year hits where they make their independence shine and find their idea of a BFF.

For some of us parents this scares the pants off us! What if we don’t know much about the new BFF? We “know” their parents, but don’t really KNOW their parents. We may not even really know the kid too well. Are they a good influence? Are they expec...
