County Finds Itself Auditing SNAFU

Roseau County and seven other northwest Minnesota counties are being required to undergo new audits at great expense because of a ruling by Minnesota State Auditor Rebecca Otto.

Roseau County Commissioner Jack Swanson earlier this week addressed the audit situation.

“Absolutely, the board has talked about it,” he said and then recapped what has transpired so far.

“Rebecca Otto is redoing the 2015 audits for eight counties in the northwest. All eight had their audits done by Colleen Hoffman,” he said, adding that her CPA firm is Hoffman, Philipp and Knutson.
