Ninth graders Lily Erickson and Payton Remick couldn't have put a better finishing touch on their summer when both were selected to compete in the Chicago area with two Team Minnesota Elite 14U teams on August 22-24 in Palatine, Illinois.

They had attended numerous tryouts last spring and made the final cut.

Lily played on Team Minnesota Navy while Payton played on Team Minnesota White.

And if the girls experienced a kink in their neck or a sore back, Lily's dad, Dr. Matt Erickson, a Roseau chiropractor, was available to do some remedial work.
