Roseau- Lorraine passed away June 16, 2023 at LifeCare Manor in Roseau at the age of 101.

Lorraine Doris Reed was born Sept. 4, 1921 at Budd Hospital in Roseau to Willis Reed & Ida (Skogstad) Reed.  She was the oldest of 4 daughters.

Lorraine grew up in Pinecreek, attending elementary school at Groveside School and high school in Badger, where she lived with host families.  She was valedictorian for her graduating class in 1940.  She then taught elementary classes (grades 1-8) for 5 years.

Lorraine married Leonard Hedlund on Dec. 22, 1945. They met while playing on opposing softball...
