The Roseau County Sheriff releases information on a traffic accident on July 5, 2023 at approximately 3:27 p.m.
A 2012 Ford pickup driven by 45 year-old Sarah Lucek from Wannaska was southbound in CR #9 near CR #13. The second vehicle, a 2001 Polaris ATV, driven by 61 year-old Robert Grugal of Roseau was also southbound.
The Grugal vehicle was struck from behind by the Lucek vehicle. Mr. Grugal sustained severe injuries and was airlifted out.
The Lucek vehicle rolled onto its side in the west ditch. Lucek and two juvenile passengers received no apparent injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Roseau County Sheriff’s Office.
