Elina Gerasimova, a 17-year-old exchange student, had one heck of a time getting all the way to Roseau from her home in Latvia. After a few flight cancellations and overnights at airports last August, she got to see more of the world than she probably wanted to. She went through Germany, Washington DC, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Bemidji then the long drive to rural Roseau to Ryan and Jodi Sorenson's home. Three whole days just to get to our neck of the woods.
