The multi-tasking Shaylin Kartes

Even her first name is unique.
Shaylin Kartes, a Roseau lass, was spotted with a big smile as thunder and lightning roared all around her as she stood calmly outside the Altru Hospital Emergency Room in Grand Forks in mid-July.
She came out of the ambulance garage to lend a hand.
Shaylin was the bright sunshine despite the crackling overhead. Shortly, she assisted an elderly woman into a wheelchair.
"I start my second semester next fall. I've just done one semester and it's going really well."
