Roseau's social event of the season is on 9/16

From 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, the Roseau Volunteer Firefighters will host their annual public banquet.

Ever see a scrawny or emaciated firefighter? That's as rare as getting two holes in one on consecutive holes.

They value a fine meal.

And they know how to put on a great feed at their highly regarded Annual Firefighters Barbecue in Roseau at the fire hall.

Last weekend, Fire Chief Leon Huot put it all in perspective.

"The year has been good so far. We've been on a few fires and this year is pretty much average. So, it hasn't been too bad for grass fires."
