Credit part of her longevity to her love of lutefisk.
Beatrice "Bea" Olson celebrated her 105th birthday earlier this week at LifeCare Roseau Manor.
"Mom taught in Mable Lake, Kimball and then Alexandria, which is where she met my dad, who was a printer," said Cindy Mertens, adding that her mother was born on September 16, 1918, and they celebrated her birthday on Monday, September 18.
The former Beatrice "Bea" Zakarisen is Norwegian.
Grow up with lutefisk?
"Mom's favorite food. She asks everyday up there (LifeCare Roseau Manor) if she can have lutefisk."
