Right away, two young sisters stood shyly at the coffee and lemonade table inside the Roseau Fire Hall.

The coffee was probably no longer hot.

There were a dozen or more Styrofoam cups of black coffee sitting for quite a while.

Oh, they were perfect hostesses but not the least bit talkative.

Even more amazing are their Danish names, which their parents, Jon and Ashley Hellerup, bestowed on them at birth.

Halfway through the 38th Annual Firefighters BBQ at 6:30 p.m., Ivy Vatnsdal, a Roseau eighth grader, joined them.
