Salol- Dennis Edgar Monkman of Salol passed away at age 86 on September 25, 2023, at the LifeCare Roseau Manor where he had been a resident for the past few months. Dennis was born on January 18, 1937, to Lawrence and Lenore (McDermott) Monkman in Roseau.

Dennis enlisted into the US Army in September 1954 and spent most of his military career stationed in Germany as part of the Army of Occupation after WWII where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and an electrician. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
