On the last evening Jesus spent with his disciples they shared a meal together. A meal out of which has come our celebration of the Lord's Supper. After the meal, according to John, Jesus took a basin of water, and a towel, and proceeded to wash the disciples' feet. Can you imagine that? The Son of God, the Creator of the Universe, down on his knees, washing between your toes, looking up into your eyes, smiling, and carefully drying your feet with his towel! Peter couldn't handle it.
