Badger- Ruby Carolyn Haugen of Badger passed away on October 18, 2023, at the Warroad Senior Living Center, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Ruby was born on a farm near Badger on December 12, 1937 to Marvin and Ruth (Smeins) Johnson. She attended Badger School and graduated from Badger High School in 1955.

In December 1956 Ruby married Floyd Haugen in Badger, and they were happily married for 64 years. They lived on the Haugen farm northwest of Badger. Ruby took special pride in "keeping the place looking nice". She spent many hours mowing the large lawn, even out by the back quonsets. S...
