The Psalms are probably the best loved part of the whole Christian Bible. Even more so, I would suspect than the Gospels. We need to remind ourselves however, that originally they were not a Christian collection of writings, but a Jewish collection of writings about the Jews' life with God.

The Psalms however, speak so marvelously to the human condition that people from all backgrounds have found comfort, strength, and hope in them.
