Veteran Narrative

On April 4th, 1999, Aaron Olson turned seventeen years old. Rather than spending his seventeenth birthday with close friends and celebrating, he only wanted one thing. Aaron was motivated by the idea of challenge, honor, and risk taking. That day, with the consent of his proud parents, a recruiter would visit Aaron’s home and he would enlist to join the United States Military as a part of the National Guard. For my veteran narrative, I have the honor of telling my dad’s story.
