She loves Christmas trees and grappling

Bristyn Wold stood near the counter at the Dairy Queen in Roseau all smiles as she ordered a treat with her mom, Alison Anderson.

Even though she's a little shy, it didn't take long before she mentioned that she is a wrestler and is in the third grade in Roseau.

"My teacher is Mrs. Tanya Byfuglien."

That is how introductions are made between strangers.

Then Bristyn, the daughter of Ryan Wold, and her mom, Alison, whose husband is Tad Anderson, sat together in a booth.

Just momentarily, the stranger joined them and the shy one opened up about her young life and sports with giggles...
