Brian Bergstrom is the Spud Webb of educators and that's quite a compliment, according to one of his admirers.
If you don't remember Mr. Spud Webb, he played in the NBA from 1985 to 1998, stands five-foot-six, scored 8,072 points and won the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
He beat star players who resembled street lights - tall and thin.
Brian stands just a half inch under five-foot-six and lightheartedly commented recently about his stature with his first graders.
"I'm taller than all, smarter than most!"
He was smiling.
The only time he didn't smile was in recent photos.
