Let's cut to the chase!
Brandon Gruchow, 41, wasn't born in Roseau County and only stayed here for three years while attending Roseau High School before moving to the Park Rapids area in the summer of 1999.
"We lived out in the Skime area," he said, speaking by cellphone recently.
The 2001 Park Rapids High School graduate and state wrestling runner-up for the Panthers, is a very successful wrestling coach and maybe, if he had been born here, would have been a hockey player.
A very good one at that.
But he comes from the Buffalo area where wrestling is much like hockey is up here....
