Warroad's Carol Parker has set a very high bar

Carol (née Kidder) Parker, 99, a native of Claremont, Minnesota, who in her prime possessed a sweet golf swing and a deadly putter along with a penchant for speed whenever she got behind the wheel, was the center of attention on Sunday, January 21, at the Warroad Senior Living Center while celebrating her 99th birthday as well as being recognized for her 86 years as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her dad, George Kidder, had served in World War I in the U.S. Army, and her mother, Gladys, taught school. Carol joined the Claremont American Legion in 1938.
