It's A Win Win Situation

Recently I received a letter from someone in another part of the country expressing sadness over the sin by which they have been overtaken. Even though their situation had nothing to do with me directly, they expressed hope that I “might find it in my heart to forgive them.” My first reaction was that there was no need to offer forgiveness on my part since the situation did not affect me.
