Jim Bernat was born in Greenbush, Minnesota and raised in Benwood. He has done a great duty to our country by serving in the Army National Guard for a little over six years. At the end of his service he was awarded with the rank of Sergeant E5. Jim’s biggest personal award was not getting deployed to Vietnam. Over Jim’s time serving he realized that serving our country makes you tough and helps men and women become more educated about life.
