Hibbing- Surrounded by her family, Carol Mae Olson, age 87, longtime resident of Hibbing, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 31, 1936, in Roseau, Carol was the daughter of Henry and Gena Halvorson. She was a graduate of Roseau High School. She was united in marriage to DuWayne A. Olson on November 11, 1955, in Roseau.

Carol worked for more than 25 years at US Bank in Hibbing. She served on the Salvation Army Board for many years and attended Chisholm Baptist Church. Carol was the happiest when surrounded by her childre...
