The Roseau Rams Cross Country team is off and running. The temperatures have been great and the runners are working hard. The final race of the 2016 cross country season was held this past Saturday in Northfield, Minnesota at St. Olaf College. Two Roseau runners qualified and competed at this top state level. The runners expected chilly weather for a race in early November but this race proved to be different. Traveling for over five hours to run on a hilly course in the middle of the state is always a memorable one for the Rams CC team. The top five Roseau finishers in the girls varsity race were Ellie Nelson, Reese Strand, Maddie Jerome, Ivy Braaten, and Faith Restad. Lacey Restad and Emma Waling completed the team. It was a beautiful day at the Roseau Oak Crest Golf Course and weather cooperated nicely for the first and only Cross Country meet held in Roseau this year. The team sends out a huge thank you for all of the local fans who came out to support the team with cheers of encouragement and visiting the booster's concession stand.
