It will be Skime's time to shine next Saturday at their big neighborhood picnic.
The potluck bash is at the Golden Valley Town Hall - also the site of the Skime School - just one mile west on County Road 18, which is north of the Skime Store on County Road 9.
On a recent weekday morning, Keith Mork, the resident historian of all things Skime, shrugged off repeated questions about his age.
"I'm 39," said Mr. Mork, who attended the District 86 Country School beginning in the early 1930s.
He is also considered somewhat of a local curmudgeon and was asked if he'd had good teachers.
