Legion Lads come up short in Stephen

 


They throw baseballs, not hand grenades - and it was all for naught as Roseau American Legion Post #24 competed on the road against Stephen/Arygle a week ago Thursday.

In the opening game, the lads, who outhit their opponents 10 to 7, jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 3rd inning.

But then came the bottom of the 4th inning, which was a big blast for the home team as they jumped all over the visitors, scoring 6 runs on three fielding errors as the S/A crew scored 5 unearned runs.

In the top of the 5th, the lads narrowed the gap to 6-5, but that was it as the game ended two innings later...
